The category upload file can be found in the "admin settings" - "Categories" - "Upload categories" or can be found here.

Following attributes are required to enter when uploading the category file:

category name

The name of the category. The name is visible to the end user and should be easily understandable.

category number

The number of the category. This number will be used to allocate the costs towards the correct category in other finance tools. The category number can be seen as the General Ledger account number.

branch name

The name of the legal entity to which this category is limited to. Note that each category is limited to a branch. If this is not the case for your organisation the categories will need to be added multiple times. One time for each branch.

branch id

The ID of the legal entity to which this category is limited to. Note that each category is limited to a branch. If this is not the case for your organisation the categories will need to be added multiple times. One time for each branch.

active

This column can be used to activate or deactivate categories:

When the category needs to be activated: active = 1

When the category needs to be deactivated: active = 0
