Mileage is used to report car-related expenses that are incurred when the vehicle is used for business purposes. In this article we will explain how to add a mileage expense and which other actions (e.g. adding a destination) are possible.

Mobile
Creating your mileage expenses on-the-go is very easy with the Rydoo app. Follow these steps to create your mileage expense with the Rydoo app.
1. Click + Add Expenses
2. Click Add Mileage.
3. Fill in all the required fields (*)
- Date - Select date of expense.
- From and To - Search for the From and to Location of where your trip is started and ended. Once you fill in the app will start calculating the distance of the trip.
- Rate - Choose the applicable mileage rate.
Optional:
- Add destination - To add more stops on your trip. To remove them again, click the little X next to the destination.
- Round trip - If you've taken the same route returning to your original location.
- Edit distance - You can override the distance calculated by Google Maps, if this option is enabled by your company (depending on company policy).
4. Once completed, tap on Submit, or on Save to submit it later.
Web
1. Go to the Expenses page and click + Add Expense. From the drop-down menu, select Add Mileage.
2. Fill in all the required fields
- From and To - Search for the From and to Location of where your trip is started and ended. Once you fill in the app will start calculating the distance of the trip.
- Date - Select date of expense.
- Rate - Choose the applicable mileage rate.
Optional:
- Add destination - To add more stops on your trip. To remove them again, click the little X next to the destination.
- Reorder destinations - To rearrange the destinations, hover your mouse over the left side of the From and To fields and drag as you want.
- Add destination as a favourite - Add a destination as a favourite by clicking the star.
- Round trip - If you've taken the same route returning to your original location.
- Change route - Change the default route by choosing from the Route field drop-down list.
- Edit distance - You can override the distance calculated by Google Maps, if this option is enabled by your company (depending on company policy).
3. Once completed, tap on Submit, or on Save to submit it later.
