A per diem is a daily allowance you can get from your employer to cover expenses (generally meals and lodging) when on a business trip. This means that instead of submitting individual expense receipts for reimbursement, you will receive a fixed allowance to spend per day of your trip.
Based on your company's policy, it could be that there are deductions and/or supplements.
You will need to make deductions when for example you got a meal for free or it was included in your hotel expenses. You can add supplements to add something to the standard per diem, for example if you stayed overnight.
