When using the SFTP integration method with Rydoo, an SFTP server is created and maintained by Rydoo for you. This server provides a secure method for automated data exchange, such as user files, cost center mappings, or transaction imports.
Authentication and access
Access to the Rydoo SFTP server is established using a username and a securely generated password. Rydoo uses an automated password generator to create long, random, and highly secure passwords.
If you receive a password from your CSM that appears simple or does not meet strong security standards, please request a new one immediately.
Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) will always share SFTP credentials with you through a secure, encrypted method.
For more information about connecting to SFTP, refer to our dedicated article.
Recommended Security Best Practices
To ensure the highest level of security, we strongly recommend the following:
- We recommend changing the passwords periodically
- Immediately change the password if you suspect compromise or unauthorized access.
- Restrict SFTP access to only the systems or individuals who require it.
- Avoid sharing SFTP credentials via email or unencrypted channels.
- Store credentials securely, using a password vault or secrets management tool.
Changing the SFTP Password (Customers)
If you need a password reset for your SFTP account, contact your CSM.
They will generate a new secure password and share it using an encrypted method.
Changing the SFTP Password (Banks)
For bank transaction feed integrations, Rydoo creates a dedicated SFTP access per bank.
A temporary password is generated during setup, and the bank must change this password upon first login.
Rydoo does not retain access to the new password once it has been changed by the bank.
