Expense with NIF number (merchant VAT)

Rydoo reads out a NIF number of a receipt. Whenever you upload a receipt with NIF number via the Mobile app, Rydoo's OCR will read out the NIF number alongside other information such as date and merchant.

A NIF number is the Spanish Tax Identification Number. This is a numerical ID of a natural or legal person needed to do any procedures that may have relevance for the Spanish Tax Agency. NIF number are therefore generally included on a receipt.

On Web, the merchant VAT number is currently not read out by our OCR.

NOTES:

  • If there is no NIF number or you don't want to include it in your expense, you can check the 'no NIF/no merchant VAT number' checkbox.
  • For other countries, the merchant VAT number is also read out on Mobile, if the invoice checkbox is checked.
