If you create an expense where you were not the sole participant and also paid for colleagues or externals, add them in the Attendees field so your company knows who participated. For example, for a team dinner you add your team members as attendees of the expense.
Attendees have their own dedicated field on the expense form, separate from the Comments field. Attendees you previously added through the Comments field, including on older expenses, move to the new Attendees field automatically. The field is available on Web and on Mobile.
If you want to create an export, it is possible to have 2 separate columns: Internal attendees and External attendees.
Also, Admins can make the Attendees field required per category in Categories settings.
Mobile
1. Open the expense and tap the Attendees field.
2. Select the attendees you want to add and tap "Add attendee".
3. The attendee is added to the expense.
Note: If the attendee name is not available in the selection, you can tap on the Add button on the right hand side of the screen. Fill in all the required fields, then click "Add new attendee".
Web
1. Open the expense and go to the Attendees field.
2. Start typing the name of the person you want to add and select them from the list. Select the colleague you want to add as an attendee.
Note: If the attendee name is not available in the selection, you can open the External tab and click the 'Add external attendees' button. Fill in all the required fields, then click Save. You will now be able to select the new attendee.
3. The attendee is added to the expense.

ERROR message "The mentioned user's full name is not valid":
If after adding your attendee, you get a pop-up message saying "The mentioned user's full name is not valid", please check if there is a white space after the attendee's name and delete it.
IMPORTANT: Unlike User Guest, a Company Guest is available on the company level, this means any user in the company can find and add this specific company guest as an attendee at their expense. Also, it’s only possible to create company guests via an API (there’s no user interface for it like you have with user guests). For more information about API click here.
